The moon inspired the Giorgio Armani Privé spring couture collection, and so lunar references featured strongly in models’ hair and makeup, too.

Hairstylist Oribe imagined “a girl who lives on the moon” and created a slick and graphic updo, with some volume in the front and top.

Makeup artist Linda Cantillo chose to use lunar shades – on eyelids, for instance.

“They’re iridescent pastels, a bit like aurora borealis,” she said, of the color palette. “They are extremely soft and feminine.”
