PARIS — The beauty look for Haider Ackermann’s fall 2014 show channeled the likes of Greta Garbo, Gloria Swanson and Diana Vreeland.

Makeup artist Yadim Carranza, working with MAC Cosmetics, put the emphasis on models’ eyebrows.

“Initiallywe were drawing on the brow, and something didn’t feel strange enoughabout it,” said Carranza. “It almost felt too classic.”

So instead he cut out little plastic bands and stuck them on as brows.

Fair-skinnedmodels were paled down while darker skin was given a deeper tone — withFace and Body Foundation and Studio Finish Skin Corrector, respectively.

A tinge of shine and concealer was added to lips.

Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman was inspired by the shape of a turban, which he evoked on models’ heads via black headbands.

Souleiman was using Wella products.
