Backstage at Jill Stuart was energetic and lively, seemingly in sync with the beauty look.Aaron de Mey, who led the makeup for Jill Stuart Beauty, created an ombré eye that juxtaposed bright pastel colors. “It’s kind of a rainbow,” he said. “We’re trying to keep it Nineties and cool.” Inspired by dancers, de Mey had half of the models wear a purple and green eye shadow, while the other half wore blue and coral. More emphasis was added to the eyes with a fine black eyeliner and mascara, which gave the eyes more strength. A light highlight was also added to the models’ cheekbones to create some luminosity.The hair at Jill Stuart was all about texture and individuality. Led by Didier Malige for Phyto Paris, PhytoPlage Protective Sun Veil was misted generously over the models’ hair to give it a damp look while also creating textured waves. “It’s a bit like she’s been swimming and then let her hair dry,” he said. “We like her to be not wet, but not dry.”Nails, which were led by Naomi Gonzalez for Zoya, featured a dusty pink rose painted over the entire nail.
