PARIS — Lanvin artistic director Alber Elbaz wanted the models at his show to have “strong, individual” looks, according to makeup artist Pat McGrath.
So she created four variations: one with a focus on the lip (in a matte wine hue that was darker in the center), another focused on the brow, a third with a graphic eye and the final one with a smoky eye.
“He chose all the lips to go with [specific] outfits, and said afterward: ‘Just mix it up according to how you want to do it,’” said McGrath.
Meanwhile, hairstylist Guido Palau explained he used Redken Diamond Oil to “drench the hair in shine.” It was then pulled into a low, “very kind of sexy ponytail” with an off-center part created with fingers. The coif was topped off with Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.
