Makeup artist Val Garland set about highlighting bone structure and using shine to get reflection and shadow for this show, which had a melancholy mood. She created what she called the “cellophane eye” with the new Pro Gloss in Mother of Pearl, and a simple outline of white pencil. She added a pale beige lip and Cream Colour Base highlighter in Shell on the cheekbones and she was done.

Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman fashioned a coif that he described as “very structured at the top, but getting softer and softer on the way down.” He said he wanted to make a strong impact with a “short, neo-geometric fringe” — with help from hair extensions — and contrast it with a softer, beachy ponytail: “craft versus no craft,” he said.
