Hairstylist Malcolm Edwards worked a new twist into the bun for the Matthew Williamson show.
“It’s a new take on an old classic,” said Edwards. “To make the look more sophisticated, we just tied the hair back and added an intelligent detail.”
Working with L’Oréal Professionnel, Edwards dampened hair using serums and moisturizing products. He then separated hair diagonally across the back of the head and created two ponytails. The ponytails were twisted before being wrapped around each other to create an elongated bun.
He used Texture Expert Shine Perfection, Texture Expert Smooth Essence and Tecni.art Fix Design.
For makeup, James Kaliardos, who was working with L’Oréal Paris, was inspired by Nineties minimalism.
“We’re contouring to bring out the highlights and lowlights of the face,” Kaliardos said, adding he was working with camel hues as opposed to brown.
Kaliardos blended muted shades from a Made For Me Naturals palette over eyelids and up to the brow. He used Studio Secrets High Definition Smoothing Brush Foundation in two shades to contour the face.
