Makeup at Oscar de la Renta, keyed by Revlon’s global artistic director, Gucci Westman, had an exotic, Eastern-inspired look for the show created by pairing a strong brow with rosy, contoured cheeks, to depict the designer’s vision of an enigmatic Eastern traveler.
“It’s about a Mongolian journey,” said Westman, who darkened the brow and applied touches of pink-hued lipstick (ColorBurst Lipstick in Fuchsia and Candy Pink) to the cheeks to give the illusion of a woman exploring the Siberian tundra. On lips, Westman used Revlon Limited Edition Lip Palette in Bordeaux in the Snow, which will be available in the fall, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry on darker complexions. Eyes had DoubleTwist Mascara in Blackest Black, ColorStay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black, ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in Silver Fox. On skin, Westman used Revlon PhotoReady Concealer and ColorStay Powder.
Hair, by Orlando Pita, was parted in the middle and left smooth at the crown, then was tucked behind the ears. Loose waves were created for the bottom half of hair. Pita used T3 Control Hair Spray and T3 Elevate Heat-Seeking Iron Volumizer to get the look.
