LONDON — “The collection is all about color blocking — blues, magentas, and pinks, so I wanted to co-ordinate these with the makeup so it all blended beautifully,” said MAC makeup artist Petros Petrohilos.
He created a two-tone lip outlined in a magenta pencil, and later applied the wine-stained Once Bitten color with his fingers in the middle of the lip. Eyes were iridescent with help from Pro Gloss in Mother of Pearl, and a slick of Play Lash mascara.
For the hair, Sam McKnight’s reference was the “natural, modern girl-next-door.”
Longer tresses were secured in low ponytails looped back on themselves while mid-length locks were swept to the side in low-side partings so they hung over one eye.
He employed a little serum to tame things down, but he said his watchword was “effortless.”
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
