Miyako Okamoto for Shiseido catered to Rachel Comey’s playful prints by fashioning a barely there makeup look. “This season, a lot of the clothes have prints,” said Okamoto, “so that’s why the makeup should be very simple.”
Aiming for a clean appearance, Okamoto didn’t use mascara or blush. She applied Shiseido’s Advanced Hydro-Liquid Compact, a water-based foundation, to leave the face with a dewy finish. To add contrast and luminosity, Okamoto applied clear gloss to the eyelid. “The hair, skin and eye area are all very wet,” said Okamoto, “which is why the lip has a matte base.” Hair by Hirofumi Kera for Shiseido was kept flawless, pulled back in a firmly tucked bun.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
