“The look is classic Ralph, with one twist — a bit of black on the eyes,” said Tom Pecheux, who created the makeup looks at Ralph Lauren’s show Thursday morning. Pecheux began by smoothing foundation — followed by bronzer and blush, to create perfect, healthy skin, he said — and then set to work on the eyes. He used a black pencil liner on the inside of the bottom lid only, stopping just short of the inside corner of the eye. Next, “a tiny bit” of mascara — brown for blondes, black for everyone else — finished the eyes, and ChapStick on the lips finished the look.

Guido Palau kept the hair “very easy and natural” by applying thickening lotion to models’ hair, blowing it dry, and then spritzing it with water to take a bit of the volume down. Next, he created a center part and ran his hands through it for a casual, slightly messy finish.
