MILAN — Using MAC Cosmetics, makeup artist Lucia Peroni created a “sexy, punky, smoky cat eye in a lozenge shape,” defined with black eye pencil and contrasting Black Eye Shadow textures — sooty, matte Black Tied mixed with sparkly Carbon — polished with lots of mascara.
Before models hit the runway, the eye was slicked along the lash line and underneath with EyeGlass black grease for a look that was “beautifully undone” and “a little bit smudgy,” Peroni said.
Nude lips were patted with concealer to take down the pink and then glossed with a neutral lip color.
Hairstylist Guido Palau said he went for “a wet, shiny look that’s tough and boyish,” dominated by a center part and shiny, straight hair. Using Redken products, he put Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense on hair before blow-drying to control frizz, and then sprayed onto ends. Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray was used on the head shape and Shine Flash 02 on the back.
The wet look continued through the nails, polished by MAC Cosmetics senior artist Keri Blair with two coats of Overlacquer top coat.
