Inspiration for coifs at Rochas’ fall-winter show was gleaned from numerous sources, including Carnaby Street and the movie “Blowup,” said hairstylist Eugene Souleiman. He pumped up the volume on top of models’ heads and let smooth, sleek tresses tumble below.

Souleiman called the result rather “makeshift” without being too retro. “It looks a bit lived-in, which is what I love about it,” he said.

Makeup artist Lucia Pieroni also crafted a Sixties-style look (think Goldie Hawn and Julie Christie). She put lashings of mascara on models’ smoky eyes and matte, tangerine-colored lipstick on their mouths.
