When Donatella Versace explained to Pat McGrath she wanted “a little flash of something” for the models’ makeup backstage at Gianni Versace’s spring collection Friday, McGrath had purple on her mind.
For the look, McGrath used a lavender liquid eyeliner on the lash line, then blended a purple shadow by Cover Girl (called Purple Pop) all over the lid and under the bottom lash. Layers of black mascara — Cover Girl’s Lash Blast — made the eyes pop. A pink blush and conditioned lips finished off the face.
“It’s a lighter mood, and it looks completely natural,” said McGrath.
Disheveled, wavy, long and loose was the order of the day for the hair, which Guido Palau described as “less teased and more rock chick.” Palau said he “bent” the hair with a large barrel hot tong and then ran his fingers through it to get the right amount of volume.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
