MILAN — “A boyish approach to feminine hair,” said hairstylist Guido Palau about the “rock and roll done simple” look at Versace, achieved using Redken products.
With an emphasis on a groomed, polished blow-out aided by Satinwear 02, Palau used a round brush to leave hair soft and polished, “but not bouncy,” he hastened to add.
He made a side part in hair thickened with extensions, and combed up the crown, held with Forceful 23 Finishing Spray. Hair was tucked behind the ear to accommodate big jewelry.
Makeup artist Pat McGrath referenced Donatella Versace’s nod to punk with a “rebellious and tough” black eyeliner over the waterline and underneath the eyes, finished with lots of mascara on the top and bottom lashes. Cream blusher of the same peachy-pink color was used on the lips and the cheeks. Brows were groomed.
