The beauty look at Tommy Hilfiger was soft and feminine, with a collegiate, unfussy feel. “We want the girls to look a bit wind burned in the cheek,” said Diane Kendal for MAC Cosmetics. “The eyes are very smoky and we created a high-shine lip.”
Kendal used plenty of MAC Powersurge Eye Kohl liner on tops and bottoms of lids for definition. Two MAC lipsticks were used to create the flushed cheek, and a new, still unnamed lip stain, in a sheer black cherry hue, was applied at the center of lips, then blended out to the ends of the mouth. “This is a girl who is fresh, beautiful and enjoys life,” said Kendal of the slightly wet look she created. “It’s very Tommy.”
Hair, styled by Eugene Souleiman for Wella, had an equally fresh, all-American vibe. He created a deep side part and loose waves for a look that was “glamorous but in a real sense.” Extensions were added to create hair that was a bit thicker and would “bounce beautifully.” Souleiman purposefully used no products for styling, so hair would be “touchable and healthy.” For finishing, Souleiman sprayed a bit of hair spray on a brush to tame the flyways.
