PARIS — L’Oréal, Henkel, Unilever, Kao and SC Johnson & Son are some consumer product companies among the firms listed in the 2010 World’s Most Ethical Companies ranking by Ethisphere Institute. It’s a research-based international think tank whose stated focus is the improvement and promotion of ethical business practices.
In other L’Oréal-related news, the beauty giant came in third in a list of companies in France with the largest number of registered patents between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008, according to the L’Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle. With 467 patents, L’Oréal follows car manufacturers PSA Peugot Citroën and Renault.
