CANNES, France — Beauty’s travel-retail business — worth $15.8 billion globally — continues on its growth trajectory, powered increasingly by passengers from emerging markets, notably China, and the skin-care and makeup segments’ strong gains.
They were the hot topics at the Tax Free World Association annual meeting at the Palais des Festivals here, which ran from Oct. 20 to 25. The fair was bustling, with the number of visitors increasing 4 percent on the 2012 session to 6,303, and the amount of companies represented gaining 1 percent to 2,917.
