Backstage at Gucci, the girls channeled David Bowie in a look defined by rainbow-hued eyes and slicked-back hair.
“Very strong and powerful” is how makeup artist Pat McGrath described makeup that included heavy foundation, red blush and intense red lip.
Reminiscent of late fashion icon Tina Chow, the eyes were a concoction of vibrant colors: violet on the lash line, gray and brown blended on the socket and red and gold smoked up to the brow — every shade dramatically pulled out to the side. Shimmering pink powder highlighted the sides of the temples and the inner corners of the eye.
Hair stylist Luigi Mureno matched the look with a slicked style that formed a tail at the back.
Mureno combed back the hair, teasing it slightly on the top to give extra height. Strong hold gel was smoothed on the sides to add sheen and structure.
“It’s very languid and graphic,” Mureno said.
