Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields provided the inspiration for beauty at Chloé Wednesday afternoon. Hair was all about the three Bs — big, beautiful and full of body, a look that stylist Guido Palau whipped up using lashings of Thickening Lotion by Redken. “We’re going for very feminine, flowing Eighties hair,” he said backstage.
After blow-drying and tonging into large curls, Palau created a side part and brushed it out to leave soft, bouncy locks — no hair spray required.
For makeup, Charlotte Tilbury focused on eyes. Working with show sponsor MAC Cosmetics, she gave the models an “all-American sportiness, like an Antonio Lopez drawing,” by coloring in the socket and lining peepers with taupe, chocolate and shimmering gold shades.
She defined cheeks and temples with a strong sweep of blush in similar tones. Lashes were curled and given a generous coat of mascara, while lips only received a dab of balm and concealer to keep the look contemporary.
