NEW YORK - For the first time in its 26-year history, Clinique will be going on television.

The division of Estee Lauder Cos., formed in 1968 to market hypoallergenic makeup and skin care, has contracted Hal Riney & Partners, a San Francsico-based agency, to develop a TV advertising campaign.
