“We’re always after the next new thing,” said Adrian Joffe, chief executive officer of Comme des Garçons International, of the firm’s fragrant collaboration with Finnish design firm Artek. Unveiled at a fete at Dover Street Market on Thursday night, the fragrance, dubbed Standard, is meant to offer another dimension to design. “It’s about evoking a sensory experience,” said Ville Kokkonen, Artek’s head of design. Standard went on sale in Dover Street Market on Thursday, priced at 70 pounds, or $114 at current exchange, for a 100-ml. eau de toilette spray.
