Taking the lead from iconic British women like Marianne Faithfull and Kate Moss, the Burberry girl doesn’t fuss with her hair and makeup — and fall’s look was no exception.
Hairstylist Paul Hanlon labeled Burberry fall’s hairstyle as “effortless, for the cool girl who never likes her hair overdone.”
To create what he described as a beautifully textured, deconstructed look, Hanlon blew the hair dry and then tonged the midlengths and ends into a slight wave.
He applied Bumble and bumble’s Brilliantine cream to smooth the ends, and then sprayed dry shampoo into the look to give it a matte finish.
Meanwhile, Wendy Rowe gave the skin a satin, porcelain finish using Armani foundation and MAC Cosmetics blotting powder.
On the eyelid, Rowe mixed two creamy shadows, a Nars gray called Lili Marlene, and Shu Uemura’s Sand Brown to make a taupe shade that blended from the lash line out to the brow.
She contoured the cheeks and patted concealer onto the mouth. “The idea is the skin is uberperfect, but the eye is disheveled. She’s confident and cool,” Rowe said.
