From the hair to the makeup to the nails, dark romance was widespread at Vera Wang.

Lucia Pieroni, makeup creative director for Clé de Peau Beauté, spotlighted luminous skin. She applied Luminizing Face Enhancer in Delicate Pink all over the face to offset the darkness of the collection. On eyes she used the Eye Color Quad in Silver Eclipse on and above the lids. Lips were topped with Extra Rich Lipstick in Just Joey, a light pearly-brown shade.

Keeping with the dark romance theme, Jimmy Paul, working with Bumble and bumble, fashioned a side part and left hair with its natural texture. First, he dampened the hair. After letting it air-dry, he applied City Swept throughout to give it a lived-in feel with a little movement. “It’s very easy,” said Paul. “It’s just tucked behind the ears.”

Working with her eponymous brand, Jin Soon Choi applied two coats of Mica, a rich silver gray, to match the collection’s color scheme. “When I think about romance, I think it needs a shimmery effect,” she said. “It’s like a holographic shimmery effect, but it’s still very sophisticated.”
