The look at Richard Chai Love was decidedly uncomplicated.
“It’s a random, windswept hairdo, it just swishes over the side,” said Kevin Ryan, for R Session Tools. “I want it to feel random but not too Donald Trump, so it’s about finding the link between the two.” Ryan said he “moved the hair around” to facilitate an “easy feel” and used “a lot of dry product,” including hair powder and Aveda Pure Abundance, as well as hair spray. “It’s a very solid random moment. Does that sound like a good description?”
The makeup, done by Romy Soleimani for Beauty.com, was meant to be soft and diffused. “It’s hazy, almost like a cloud on the eye; it’s playing with hardness and softness and color,” she said, adding that eyes were rimmed, both top and bottom, with black liner to contrast the twinkling shadow. “We did this sage-y, silvery green on the eye and it’s shimmery.” At the show Soleimani exclusively used Kevyn Aucoin products, including The Loose Shimmer Shadow in Jade and The Precision Liquid Liner in Black .
“It blends beautifully, it’s very easy,” said Soleimani, who defined brows with The Precision Brow Pencil in Brunette. “We’re doing a stronger brow and using hair spray to brush them up.”
Lashes were given a coating of The Essential Mascara and lips were kept natural with The Sensual Skin Enhancer and The Sensual Lip Balm.”
