"The girls had been to a party, be it a Thirties ball or a rave today, and have fresh skin as if it is 5 a.m. and they are walking home down a country lane," said makeup artist Pat McGrath of the beauty look for models at Nina Ricci. “They’re almost like wood nymphs.”
Indeed, the smudged bit of color dotted with brown hues under eyes gave models an almost otherworldly aura, as did their powdered, feathered coifs, created by hairstylist Odile Gilbert. “It’s a bit Sixties, hippy-like, with their hair coming around their eyes,” she said, explaining the soft curl left in hair gave a sense of sophistication at the same time.
