The Estée Lauder Cos. Inc said Tuesday that it has promoted two executives to senior management positions.
Chris Good has been named president, U.K. and Ireland, for the Estée Lauder Cos., while Sandra Main has been named global brand president of La Mer. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Good, who has been with the company for more than 20 years, was named managing director for the U.K. and Ireland — the company’s largest market outside the U.S. — in 2012. His previous positions include general manager of the company in Russia and senior vice president for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa. He will continue to report to Cedric Prouvé, group president, international for the Estée Lauder Cos.
“Chris has been instrumental in recognizing huge areas of growth for the U.K. and Ireland, helping to expand our business in this very important heritage market,” stated Prouvé. “His widely respected intelligence, strong understanding of the landscape and his strategic and inspiring leadership will help take the U.K. and Ireland to its next level of growth.”
Main, now global brand president of La Mer, started in the position of senior vice president and general manager of La Mer in 2009. She joined Lauder in 1995 as the Hong Kong brand manager for MAC Cosmetics, and she was a significant contributor to the international growth of MAC, said John Demsey, group president of Estée Lauder, to whom Main will continue to report. Demsey observed, “She is an expert in building brand equity globally and converting La Mer’s aspirational positioning into meaningful consumer experiences around the world. Her leadership is best in class, and I believe she will be hugely successful in her new position.”
Main has also served as senior vice president of Bobbi Brown International. Demsey noted that her duties will include leading the global growth of the brand and spearheading the introduction of new product categories.

@chanelofficial is suing high-end vintage retailer @whatgoesaroundnyc for trademark infringement, a move that could cost the retailer millions.
