The Body Shop USA, the subsidiary of the British-based manufacturer and retailer of bath and body products, has named Melisse Shaban vice president and general manager of retail. Shaban was previously general manager of the Minneapolis-based Aveda Corp. In her new position, she will be responsible for the strategic and creative direction of the company's product merchandising efforts.
Shaban will be based in The Body Shop's U.S. headquarters in Wake Forest, N.C. She will report to David Edward, president of The Body Shop USA.
Amy GiDeso has been promoted from senior vice president of human resources at Dallas-based Mary Kaye Corp. to chief administrative officer. She will report to John P. Rochon, chief executive officer.
Fragrance Impressions Ltd. of Bridgeport, Conn., has named Mel Davis executive vice president. Davis will be involved in sales, marketing, distribution and trade relations. He will report to George Lubin, chairman. Davis was corporate vice president of sales planning and development for Chesebrough-Ponds.
