MILAN — Makeup artist Lisa Butler, inspired by pops of white in the Emilio Pucci 2013 spring collection, carried the cool color over to the face.
“There’s a Zen, Far East influence so we wanted to keep the face fresh and super-natural,” Butler said about the lack of foundation. “There’s nothing really, just concealer where it’s needed.”
Using MAC Cosmetics, she applied Smolder Eye Kohl pencil along the upper and lower lash line and then removed with a Q-tip to create a dark stain, giving “an impression of sexiness.” Mascara was applied on the top lash root.
Pro White Chromaline was blended into a small, soft, circular form in the center of the eyelid, anchored to the lash line. A tiny bit of gloss was added for dimension. ”
Vintage Rose mixed with Pearl Cream Colour Base was circled across the cheeks and Vintage Rose mixed with Lip Erase was applied on lips.
Hairstylist Luigi Murenu conveyed his “Indochine, super-mix of Asian cultures” via a super-straight style.
“The hair has lots of movement, but in a very gentle and light way,” he said.
Straight hair was roughly center-parted and sectioned off. The sides were pulled back behind the ears and secured at the back of the head with a large, ivory-colored clip etched with a dragon motif. Tendrils were pulled forward.
