Guido Palau created a “very Calvin Klein — easy, simple, young and modern” look for the Calvin Klein show Thursday. First, he blew hair dry with Redken’s Thickening Lotion 06 Body Builder to give the hair “guts,” then pulled hair into a ponytail just below the nape of the neck. He then back-brushed hair to create a full, messy texture, then twisted the ponytails into deconstructed knots, pinning them in random shapes against the head and allowing some strands to fall loose. He then spritzed hair with Redken’s Workforce 09 hairspray and added black headbands for a younger feel (and to keep hair clear of the face).
Pat McGrath kept makeup minimalistic by emphasizing eyebrows. She added concealer where necessary, with each model getting a bit of highlighter on the cheeks. A sweep of taupe eye shadow and clear lip gloss finished the look.
