Backstage at Honor, the models looked as if they had just run through the fields. Tiny flowers were been randomly placed throughout the hair, and the skin appeared fresh and untouched.
“[The look] I would say is cute,” said James Pecis for Beauty.com. “No one likes the word cute, but it has a playful, young feel to it.” Working with Phyto and T3 hair tools, Pecis created a tousled, loose side ponytail. He began by blow-drying the hair with T3’s Featherweight Luxe 2i while spraying Phyto Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray on the roots. Then, Pecis fashioned a side part and curled the hair with the T3 SinglePass Twirl curling iron and placed the individual pieces into pin curls. He unpinned the curls and brushed them out into loose waves and secured them with an elastic. After spraying the look with Phyto Professional Workable Holding Spray, Pecis positioned tiny, white iridescent flowers on the opposite side of the pony.
Before applying makeup, Eve Lom’s Morning Time Cleanser, Intense Hydration Serum, TLC Radiance Cream, Age Defying Smoothing Treatment and Kiss Mix were applied to prep the skin.
Then, Romy Soleimani for Beauty.com used Kevyn Aucoin products to create a soft, feminine vibe to coincide with the hair. Soleimani began by applying The Sensual Skin Enhancer and The Creamy Glow Blush in Candlelight to the face, making it very bare and dewy. To generate a taupe, gray color, she layered fog, deep taupe, pink shell and cool smoke throughout the lid and upper eye. “For the eye, it’s all about this hazy shape,” said Soleimani. “It’s almost like you’re looking through a piece of chiffon. There’s no defined edges, there’s no defined lines.” In the inner corner of the eye, Soleimani used a flesh-colored shimmer shadow called Kunzite and filled in the eyebrows. The lips were kept neutral by mixing Matte Lip Color in Persistence and Evermore with Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Medium. “It’s nothing severe or hard,” said Soleimani. “It’s hazy and soft.”
Deborah Lippmann for Beauty.com completed the look with a midlength pointed nail and a Swarovski reverse French manicure. Lippmann painted two coats of La Vie En Rose and then layered Prelude To A Kiss and Diamonds and Pearls on top. She finished with a Gel Lab Top Coat and placed six rhinestones at the base of the nail to coordinate with the encrusted shoes designed by Tabitha Simmons.
