MILAN — With wood, paper, trees and nature as references, makeup artist Lucia Pieroni crafted a sculptured, natural face using MAC Cosmetics.
A masculine eyebrow was achieved by a mix of four eye shadows — Omega, Copperplate, Concrete and Typographic — for a look of “strong and handsome women who are supernaturally gorgeous,” Pieroni said.
Pink cream color was dabbed on the cheeks and neutral lips were pressed with French Nougat and Classic Nude lipsticks. A creamy, taupe eye was made with Groundwork Paint Pot.
Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman wanted a “handsomely groomed woman.” Using Wella Professionals products, hair was blown-out with Velvet Amplifier Style Primer and separated into sections. Side portions were brushed tight to the head, slathered with Natural Volume Styling Mousse and secured at the top. A hard, flat crown was raked up for height and tactility.
Regardless of hair length, Souleiman affected a short hairstyle on models: on girls with long hair, a section from the back of the head was tied with an elastic band and rolled under for a bobbed look.
