LONDON — Lucia Pieroni, working with MAC Cosmetics, created a look for Giles that she described as “punky but beautiful.”
Her smoky eye involved Technikohl Graph Black pencil on the upper lid and three gray shadows blended together: Copper Plate, Scene and Carbon.
The lower waterline was rimmed with Chromographic pencil in the vibrant Hi-Def Cyan. Skin remained pale and lips were simply blotted with a nude colored foundation.
Hair by Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck for Toni & Guy Label M, was dubbed “crash helmet chic.”
“Inspiration from Giles was melancholy nature meets techno,” she said.
The crash helmet idea came from all the leathers in the collection – the conceit being that these biker babes had literally just removed their helmets.
This effect was achieved by prepping the hair with Label M Sea Salt Spray before blasting it all forward with the dryer.
Mascolo-Tarbuck then ran irons loosely all the way through and placed a net over the top, securing it really tight just below the ears and applying hair spray over the top. Once dry, the net was removed and hair pulled to one side.
