Working with the designers’ influence of 18th century British controlled India, Stila makeup artist Talia Shobrook created a luxurious and confident face at Marchesa on Wednesday evening.
“It’s all about accentuating the eye,” she said, “but without doing the obvious black kohl.” Shobrook replaced the “obvious” kohl with a grey shadow dusted lightly on the inner corner of the eye, followed by metallic brown on the inner rim. She combined three iridescent loose shadows with water to create a kind of antique gold liquid liner, which she then applied to the upper and lower lashline.
Skin was left fresh except for some concealer and cheeks were given a healthy “Victoriana” flush. Lips were tinted the same natural flush as cheeks with a dab of red added to the middle. Teddy Charles of Logics Color DNA complemented the makeup with “natural, edgy, sexy, rock n’ roll with a polished touch” hair.
