“They’re all replicas of Kristen McMenamy,” said makeup artist Pat McGrath, referring to models at Viktor & Rolf’s fashion show and to the Nineties top model, who was a special guest there.

McGrath created a mostly beige face with some shimmer. “Everything is paled out,” she said, explaining that included even eyebrows and lips.

Hairstylist Luigi Murenu concocted a ponytail for the show. Hair was scraped back tightly from faces and glossed over with John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease serum. The effect contrasted with the voluminous and somewhat frizzed hair that hung loose down models’ backs.

“It’s a very strong look,” he said.
