Lilly Pulitzer has something new in store for the ladies of Palm Beach – sunglasses.

The clothing brand, known for its floral sunwear and pastel knits, has signed a deal with the Kenmark Group, based in Louisville, Ky., to design, produce and distribute women’ sunglasses and optical eyewear.

The new collection will be available at upscale department stores and specialty boutiques throughout the U.S., as well as the 17 Lilly Pulitzer retail stores and 75 shop-in-shops.

Retailing from $90 to $180, the sunwear will hit counters in January, timed with the launch of Pulitzer’ spring collection, followed by the optical collection, which will roll out in 2009.

The Kenmark Group, through its Couteur Designs division, produces eyewear for such designers as Vera Wang and Dana Buchman.
