Makeup artist Petros Petrohilos, using MAC, created a “techno lip” at Paul Smith’s show.

“We have layered three products:, a basic lip liner, Lady Danger lipstick from a palette, then powder pigment, in Neon Orange, just to make that lip as bright and as matte as possible,’” he said.

No mascara or brow pencil was used, and skin was left dewy and moist in order to draw attention to the lips. The reference from Smith had been photographer and illustrator Jean-Paul Goude, and the bright orange garments in the collection.

The hair was created by Peter Gray with Moroccanoil. “It really is a very easy look and all about the contrast between the two textures,” Gray said backstage. “The hair is slicked back, ultra-smoothly using frizz control mixed with hairspray, and the low bun is textured and slightly fluffy.”
