The Seventies dictated the beauty look for Paul Smith’s fall show. "Think Jim Morrison's girlfriend and rock star groupies and makeup looking 'worn-in' from the night before,” explained MAC's Petros Petrohilos.
He washed eyes with Electric Cool (something between a powder and a shadow), applying Purple Dash liner at the bottom outer lashline close to the rim and Blooz on the lid close to the socket — "so the colors bleed and melt together and make the eyes pop."
Skin was youthful and dewy with a little face oil applied to lids and cheekbones. Pebbles Aikens painted nails in MAC's deep purple Dark Angel shade - both contrasting with a matt lip courtesy of Prep & Prime.
"Paul likes the girls to look cool, natural, fresh and young, as if they've done their hair themselves," hairstylist Sam McKnight said of his “lived-in” low ponytail.
“There are a lot of coats with high collars in the collection, so it would be a bit too much if the hair were worn down," he explained.
He applied Fudge Sea Spray, mussing it in with his fingers, finishing with Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
