Coming up with a hair look to complement Marchesa’s flowy, feminine gowns could not have been easy. But Sean James Decuers for Rita Hazan Salon stepped up to the challenge by creating innovative updos that could only be called fabulous. Hair was heavily textured with Bumble and bumble Thickening Spray and pulled back into a ponytail. Tails were made slick and twisted tight, and then pinned asymmetrically to the back of models’ heads, looking almost like appliqué. The textured crowns in combination with the sleek, tight twists played well off Marchesa’s tulle and satin gowns for spring.
Makeup was created by Talia Shobrook for Nars, who used a pretty Chinese woman as her inspiration. Shobrook created a strong brow and luminous skin, and dotted cheekbones with Cabana Stick for a glow. Lips were massaged with pale pink block color without any shimmer or glitter.
Nails were polished in one coat of Sheer Pressure, which gave off a hint of pearl. Manicures and polish were provided by Sally Hansen.
