BERLIN — Germany’s Manhattan Cosmetics wants the girls to get freaky. The brand, from the recently Coty-purchased Dr. Scheller Cosmetics, is hosting a month of events in bars and clubs around the country in honor of a new color range called Freaky Friday.
The limited edition collection, which entered stores here this week and will remain on counter for eight weeks, is centered around vibrant pinks and oranges, and includes two eye shadow palettes retailing for 5.95 euros, or $8.30 and two lip gloss colors and four nail polish shades priced at 3.95 euros, or $5.51, each. Manhattan’s No End Mascara, part of the standard assortment, also is being featured.
The Freaky Friday evenings kick off April 8 in Hamburg, followed by Munich, Frankfurt, and Berlin — one each week.Conceived as a ‘pre-party girls’ night out,’ during the events participants can get their look updated by Manhattan makeup artists, take funny photos with their friends posing with an oversize mascara wand and lipstick tube and grab a goodie bag to take along as they head out into the nightlife.
"I was driving back on Saturday afternoon from the beach, and I just saw this sign saying 'Skydiving for $95.' And I was like, I can't not sky dive for $95," says Tom Bateman about a moment in Hawaii while shooting "Snatched." #wwdeye (📷: @victoriastevens; Interview by @ktauer; Styled by @thealexbadia)
