PARIS — “The only strong color variation between the girls is there’s a wardrobe of six lip colors that I am assigning to each [one] individually, and it’s not to do with what they’re wearing [but] because a lot of the girls will be seen together on the runway,” said makeup artists Dick Page at the Sonia Rykiel show, who used Shiseido products on mouths.
He explained all of the models were given a dark brow, a glossy eye with a trace of gold hue and a beige tone high on the cheeks.
Hairstylist Guido Palau, meantime, concocted a coif he described as “masculine-feminine.”
The side-parted front of models’ hair was made slick with Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray. On the back of their heads, he crafted a loose, asymmetric roll adorned with a sparkly clip.
“It’s very girly, and very Rykiel,” said Palau.
