At the Milly show Wednesday evening, hair and makeup looks channeled the rebelliousness of the late Sixties.
Hairstylist Kevin Ryan of R Session Tools described the look as, “It’s the end of the summer in the Sixties when all the debutantes are hanging out with the rockers in Marrakesh.” Ryan and his team flatironed models hair, pulling back the front of the hair into a loose braid. He then place a thin band around the head to impart a early hippie vibe.
Makeup was in keeping with the debutante gone wild theme. Romy Soleimani for MAC Cosmetics said, “They’re groomed at the beach and super tan.” To create the look, she applied a creamy, pale shadow in Fresh Morning to eyelids then lined the entire eye with a pearlized-gold liner and applied a baby pink shade to lips. Cheeks were flush with a sun-kissed pink shade and bronzer. She updated the look by using tinted moisturizer (in lieu of heavy foundation) and a dusting of powder along the T-zone. Makeup artists then applied body makeup, Sundressing spray, onto legs and arms, with a Kabuki brush.
