Makeup artist Stephane Marais said when he saw this season’s Christian Lacroix fashion collection, he decided to create a pretty, delicate look reminiscent of a Marie Laurencin painting. To obtain it, Marais swished soft, pale gray on models’ eyelids and pink coral on their lips.

As for the fantastical headdresses worn for the show, hairstylist Odile Gilbert said, “They are a mix of prints and volumes.” She explained there was no single inspiration.
