MILAN — To reference the rugged Himalayan landscapes referenced in the Etro collection, hairstylist Eugene Souleiman created a tight, pulled-back style crowned with a fishtail braid.

"I see the models as nomads who've traveled the Silk Road from China through Mongolia, Tibet and Nepal, passing through sandstorms and high winds of harsh travel," he said.

To enhance a dry texture, hair was treated with Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray.

The objective of makeup artist Mark Carrasquillo was to create a glowing complexion over a matte finish through the precise match of MAC Cosmetics to skin tones. For example, Sunbasque Powder Blush was blended with taupe Sculpt & Shape Shadowy across the cheekbones for a sun-kissed shade.

On eyes, a brown-red eye shadow was dampened and smudged across the lid. Buffed, penciled-in eyebrows were combed-up and tousled; lips were drawn-in with lip liner that matched lip color; and lashes were curled.
