Hairstylist Luigi Murenu called the beauty look at the Valentino couture show “almost a rock version of ‘Alice in Wonderland.’” Murenu created for models loose locks that were lightly streaked with (largely pastel) colors such as pink, lavender, silver and baby blue.

Meanwhile, makeup artist Pat McGrath swept wide swaths of pastel hues across models’ eyes. “It’s almost like a modern fantasy,” she said. “The focus is all on the eyes and the pale skin.”
