MILAN — Vidal Sassoon retro cuts and the signature mod hairstyle of Peggy Moffitt inspired hairstylist Paul Hanlon at Marni.
Anchored by a heavy bang that edged the eye, the hairstyle was “almost like a visor,” said Hanlon. The front, top section of the hair was segregated, slicked back with Toni & Guy Label.M Hold & Gloss Spray and then bangs were clipped on.
“The collection is very bold and graphic so Consuelo [Castiglioni] liked the idea of architectural and graphic hair,” said Hanlon.
“She’s a Tim Burton character to me — kooky and spooky,” said makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who used MAC Cosmetics products.
The focus of the makeup was beneath the eye, brushed with Mauveless Pro Longwear Eyeshadow. A white highlight went at the inside corner of eyes and was used on the bridge of the nose and the cheekbones for contour. Lips were toned down to matte beige with concealer.
