MILAN — Hairstylist Luigi Murenu created a tousled, loose braid for the Emilio Pucci show.
“There’s a chic, bohemian feel, but not a hippy — we wanted to mix-in rock ‘n’ roll romanticism,” he said.
Kérastase Mousse Bouffante gave hair a stylized, tactile surface. A rugged middle part divided the crown and a simple, loose braid was anchored with thin elastic.
Makeup artist Yadim went for a “polished, savage look” with MAC Cosmetics. Skin was prepped with Face and Body Foundation and spot treated with Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer.
Eyes were dusted with Taupe Powder Blush and blended out towards brushed-up and filled-in brows. Eyelids were highlighted with Root Cream Colour Base, then mixed with the blush and drawn under the eye. The waterline was inked with Feline Kohl Power Eye Pencil and retraced in graphic black pencil. Lashes were curled.
Hush Cream Colour Base was brushed across the cheeks, nose, chin and brow bone. To echo the gold in the clothes, about 10 models were dusted with a V-shaped field of Gold Pigment Colour Powder, which was mixed with water and brushed between the eyebrows and run down the bridge of the nose. “It’s got a warrior tribal feel, polished and savage — a modern Veruschka,” he said.
