At Vera Wang, Asian Kabuki and a touch of Sixties inspired the large froths of hair that Jimmy Paul, working for Bumble and bumble, created at the show. Paul began by spritzing the hair with Bumble and bumble Surf Spray, then backcombed and teased all of the hair so that he ended up with cotton-candy puffs, then pulled and pinned the hair into different, ultravolumized shapes — some models got a French twist, others a superfull bob. Paul finished with a spritz of Bumble and bumble Does It All Spray for hold.

Lucia Pieroni, working for Clé de Peau at the show, wanted to create a romantic, “in the mood for love” look with an emphasis on the eyes. She used eye shadows in Champagne and pink frost; both are from a palette Clé de Peau will launch in spring 2011. Eyebrows were defined with pencil and elongated where necessary. Pieroni skipped mascara and added sparkle with Starlight, a twinkly silver shade, from the brow bone to the tops of the cheeks.
