At Ralph Lauren, the focus for beauty was more on the makeup since the hair was more secondary due to the elaborate hats. Guido Palau pulled the hair back in a simple chignon to help accommodate the hats. “The hair was more secondary in this case,” said Palau. Palau used Redken’s thickening lotion and pulled the hair back into a low ponytail.

For makeup, Tom Pecheux described the overall look as “a modern version of 18th century portraits.” To create the look, he used matte skin and strong rosy red blush high on the cheek bones. The eyes were outlined with a white liner on the insideof the eye as well as on top of the lashes with a heavy coating of mascara. The lips were natural with a red stain in the center of the lips.
