MILAN — “You can’t get anymore passionate than red, can you?” asked Pat McGrath, creative design director of Procter & Gamble beauty, referring to the “strong red lip” that she crafted for Prada’s spring 2013 show.
The exaggerated pout was extended past the natural lip outline with lip liner. A thin slash of white pencil was traced along the cupid’s bow. To sustain a matte finish, lips were meticulously blotted.
Using Redken products, hairstylist Guido Palau modified a French twist by upending hair into ersatz bangs.
To add thickness and depth, wet hair was doused with Thickening Lotion 06 and roughly blow dried. After a smooth-out with a boar bristle brush, hair was gathered straight back, omitting a part.
Quick Tease 15 Backcombing Finishing Spray blasted the crown and was twisted upwards, towards the front of the head, which sent the ends straight over. At Palau’s discretion, disparate bangs were fashioned and secured with Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.
