Beauty entrepreneur Cristina Bornstein, who cofounded the now-defunct Tina & Tony indie cosmetics brand, is busy reinventing herself on the Internet with plans to launch an instructional health and lifestyle Web site, tentatively scheduled to go live in November.

It's called Cristinasenergycenter.com, and is aimed at promoting health and generating energy.

Bornstein explained that the site is divided into seven sections, one of which will market essential fragrance oils designed to stimulate one's chakras, the body's psychic energy centers as described by yoga philosophy. "[The oils and crystals] are all infused with healing reiki energy," Bornstein noted.

In addition to the shop, which merchandises the essential oils and crystals, another section features instructional energy exercises. Another department will offer lifestyle suggestions. A resource area is being designed to help viewers looking for healers and programs.

The site will also convey discussions and feature interviews, Bornstein said, adding that eventually she would like to establish a freestanding energy center, where "people can come for healing." Ultimately, Bornstein envisions creating a retreat in upstate New York.

She has been working on the site since Wella's Cosmopolitan Cosmetics discontinued the Tony & Tina brand about two and a half years ago.

In addition, Bornstein is scheduled to appear as part of a panel discussion, entitled "The Natural Phenomenon," at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday as part the HBA Expo at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here.
